The Gwaneumsa Trail, a north course of Hallasan, is a 8.7km trail that takes you to Baeknokdam the summit of Hallasan like Seongpanak Trail, and takes about five hours one way.
The valley is deep, the mountains are magnificent, and the altitude difference is so great that you can see the true nature of Hallasan.
Professional climbers, as well as visitors to the Seongpanak Course, use this course mainly when descending.
Departure from the Gwaneumsa District Campground and walk 30 minutes along the forest road to meet Gurin Cave.
This cave is located at the highest level among caves in Jeju Island, and has a high academic value as a colony of various cave animals and bats.
If you walk about 30 minutes from Gurlin Cave, you will see Tamla Valley, and if you go up the ridge through the valley, you will meet a dense forest, and that is Ant Back.
It takes about an hour and a half to climb from Ant back to Ant neck.
If you go down the valley past the Samgakbong shelter, you will see Yongjingak Valley.
Clear waters rise from here from season to season.
As the slope is steep, it is difficult to control breathing, but it is also a place where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery such as the strange rocks created by volcanic eruptions, magnificence, and dead trees. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to reach Baeknokdam.
For your reference, there is a campsite at the entrance of the trail that can accommodate 1,000 people at the same time. You can also enjoy the forest bath while observing the natural ecosystem.

Take the intercity bus (20 min.) to Seogwipo (5.16 Road) from Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal
Get off at Jeju University and take the Intercity Bus 475 (Route 1117, 5 minutes).
Get off at the entrance of the Gwaneumsa Trail, and you can see Gwaneumsa campsite.
